The Ivorian singer, Vitale, decided to confide in her fans by revealing what the legend Meiway had done to her.
She reveals that the latter helped her a lot by financing the production of her very first video clip.
“In college, my dream was to dance with two great artists from Ivory Coast: the legend Meiway, known as Professor Awôlewô, and the diva Aïcha Koné. God made this dream come true.
Beyond being my boss, the Meiway Legend was like a father to me. He and his orchestra the Zo Gang were a great training for me: especially for mastering the stage.
I learned a lot alongside him.
When I wanted to start a musical career, I went to him.
I submitted my wish. I played him my very first song. With a professional eye, he gave me the necessary criticism. Above all, Papa Meiway gave me a lot of advice.
The shell that I knew how to build for myself, ignoring opposition, not dwelling on insults and other nastiness, it is from Father Meiway that I get this.
And to encourage me, he financed the production of my very first video clip. He even honored me by agreeing to appear there.
Working alongside Father Meiway was a real school for me.
Today, if I occupy the stage well, if I manage to harangue the crowds, to captivate the spectators, and capture their attention, it is thanks to Meiway.
I got that from him. Even beyond the shows, Father Meiway was a caring boss. He took care of us. He carefully monitored our state of health.
As soon as one of us had the slightest ailment, Papa Meiway accompanied us to the hospital, sometimes going to the pharmacy himself to get the medicine.
There are not many artists who act in this way towards their dancers”confided Vitale.
