“A job that I don’t necessarily appreciate”, Frank Leboeuf’s fears for his daughter Jade, influencer

Frank Leboeuf, former defender of the 1998 team, explains his fears about the influencer career of his daughter Jade, followed by nearly 270,000 people on Instagram.

Frank Leboeuf confided his pride and his fears as a dad in the show “Chez Jordan De Luxe” on C8 last week. The former defender of the French team, 1998 world champion, notably mentioned the career of his daughter Jade (34) as an influencer, followed by nearly 270,000 people on Instagram. She provides fashion and beauty advice for certain cosmetic brands, in particular.

“A job that I don’t necessarily enjoy”

A job that raises some concerns for the former Chelsea defender. “I warn you,” he explains. “She does a job that I don't necessarily like. She's an influencer. I tell her that you always have to protect yourself and know what you're doing. That there are people who need opinions or advice of my daughter, so much the better if it reassures them. It's a little beyond me because it's not part of my generation.”

Frank Leboeuf is particularly concerned about the weight of his name on his shoulders and the touting media treatment of his daughter by a certain celebrity press. “I tell her: 'You do what you want but you know that you have a father who was famous and that you will always be 'Frank Leboeuf's daughter'. If there are contracts where she is a little naked, it's 'Frank Leboeuf's daughter gets naked'.”

His daughter, born from his union with his first wife Béatrice Bodas, tries to reassure him. “She explains to me why and how she does it, how it happens,” adds Frank Lebouf. “We both have frank conversations about the thing. We do a public job and we can't do and say anything. He takes responsibility for everything we say and everything we do.” After ending his career in 2005, Frank Leboeuf retrained as an actor (he is currently in the theater starring in the play Hernie Fiscale at the Comédie Saint-Martin), like his son Hugo (32 years old).
