As part of the festival North of Laughterwhich will take place in Mirabel from July 4 to 6, HollywoodPQ had the chance to speak with the friendly and authentic PA Méthotwho will close the event with a very promising number.
During this special moment with the comedian, he told us he had a passion for a certain type of art that we don’t know much about: blacksmithing!
Surprising, isn’t it?
In fact, the artist would like to make knives; to forge them, a passion that has driven him since his early childhood, since growing up, he saw his grandfather sharpening axes.
“My grandfather sharpened axes. (…) At my grandfather’s house, there was a stone millstone with a strap and a leather handle. Then with his foot, he turned it and sharpened the axes. (…) My grandfather, his axes cut, it just didn’t make any sense. People came to sharpen their axes at my grandfather’s house and I have always been fascinated by that (…),” he said, explaining that it is more of an artistic passion than cutting things.
This is the creative aspect; starting from nothing in order to work on a material and arrive at an incredible product that he is so passionate about.
He who loves watching shows on the subject, would love to host a competition in which we would find artists who are masters of this art, like the show Forged in Fire.
He still affirms that if he launched into this passion, he would not sell his products. He doesn’t want to commercialize his hobby.
