Arrested in the middle of buying cocaine in front of his home, Matthieu Delormeau was taken into police custody on Monday, July 1. His home was searched immediately afterwards.

According to information from Le Parisien, Matthieu Delormeau was caught red-handed dealing cocaine in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district of the 6th arrondissement of Paris. Police officers arrested the former columnist for the show “Touche Pas à Mon Poste” on Monday, July 1, while he was buying drugs from a dealer already under investigation.

Arrested by the police, the seller, aged around forty, was in possession of 15 grams of cocaine. For his part, Matthieu Delormeau was carrying 300 euros in cash on him. Apprehended in turn by the officers, the former presenter of the C8 channel was taken into custody in THE premises of the third judicial police district.

In parallel with his hearing, on the afternoon of July 1, the defendant’s home was searched. On this occasion, the police discovered several drugs including a gram of cocaine, cannabis, MDMA and GHB. In the dealer’s apartment, which was also searched, the police found five grams of cocaine and several hundred euros in cash.

Conditional release

Matthieu Delormeau was released at the end of the day, after his hearing, he was warned of a summons from the Paris prosecutor’s office for “therapeutic injunction for drug use”. At 50 years old, he is thus obliged to receive treatment in exchange for a reduced sentence in the context of criminal proceedings according to the public prosecutor.
