We (finally) know a little more about the reasons for Jamie Foxx’s mysterious emergency hospitalization in April last year. The star of Ray et Django Unchainedwho resumed projects earlier this year that had been put on hold due to health concerns, recently agreed to answer questions from concerned fans at a restaurant in downtown Phoenix, Arizona.
As seen in a TikTok video, the 56-year-old actor attempted to recall the details of the incident. “Listen, April 11th of last year, I had a headache, I asked my guy to give me an Advil,” he explained, before snapping his fingers and adding, “I was ‘out’ for twenty days, I don’t remember anything.”

Jamie Foxx then discussed the doctors’ care and tests. “My sister and my daughter took me to the doctor, who gave me a cortisone shot and said, ‘There’s something going on up there,'” he said, pointing to his head, before reiterating that he didn’t want to elaborate further on the nature of his problem.
It was the actor’s eldest daughter, Corinne Bishop, who revealed on social media last year that her father had been suffering from significant health problems and that “quick action” and “good care” had put him on “the road to recovery”.
After the ordeal, Jamie Foxx gave updates on social media last summer and then made his first public appearance in December at a Critics Choice Association ceremony that honored him with the Vanguard Award. During his speech, the star ofAli also opened up about the aftermath of her incident: “It’s crazy, I couldn’t do this six months ago. I cherish every minute of it now – it’s different.”
