On her social networks, the most listened to French-speaking singer in the world called for a blockade against the National Rally.

French-Malian star Aya Nakamura, the most listened to French-speaking singer in the world, called on Tuesday for “all go vote, and against the only extreme to condemn”on his social networks. “I am well placed to understand and know the place of racism in our country. They are the same ones who get angry when we shine because we have not finished shining,” she adds.

The singer was the victim of attacks from the far right in mid-March when the French weekly L’Express had suggested that the person concerned sing at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games (July 26-August 11), with the possibility of reprising Edith Piaf. A small far-right group then posted on social networks a photo of a banner held by a dozen of its members on the banks of the Seine proclaiming: “There’s no way Aya, this is Paris, not the Bamako market!”

L’expression “There’s no way” is taken from his global hit Djadja. “I am becoming a number 1 state subject” and that’s it “that hurts you”the star then reacted on her networks. Before concluding: “What do I really owe you? Kedal (sic).” His participation in this ceremony has still not been confirmed.

For several days, he has been criticized on social networks for not giving his position after the tidal wave of the National Rally (RN) in the European elections and the first round of the legislative elections.

“Yes, I am discreet on these subjects, sometimes we do not feel relevant and legitimate enough to speak and say the right things on areas that we do not control.she justifies herself. That doesn’t mean we don’t have opinions, eh. Now I understand that my position as an artist requires me to speak out, because it’s an important moment for all of us.” And to conclude: “So on Sunday, we will all go and vote, and against the only extreme to condemn because there is only one.”
