Virginie Efira reveals: “To be completely honest, my relationship with alcohol has become very boring.”. And to add: ” For a long time, I liked the effect of the next day, the hangover. Today, I’m more of a control freak.”
As she is about to take up summer quarters in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, where she has been a regular for 10 years, Virginie Efira admits: ” in the summer, I don’t say to myself: ‘Come on, it’s allowed, after the vegetable juices, a little shot of vodka!’ »
She doesn’t want to be in control
The Belgian actress is not ready to become one of those American actresses who obeys the “cult of thinness, of the young and dynamic body which does not go without practicing sport, deep sleep, eating broccoli“. She assumes: “There’s something that’s stressing me out about this.”
And for good reason, Virginie Efira admits that she never managed to achieve “this level of self-discipline”. Good living, she recognizes: “Often, I open the floodgates, it’s joyful, but not in the long term. Without limits, we become a kind of thing with too much gravity. It’s a small balance to find”.
