Jean-Paul Huchon, the father of Thomas Huchon, was recognized
guilty of having awarded a grant of 60,000 euros to the Green Lotus association in 2014under irregular conditions. This association was headed by Jean-Marc Brûlé, an elected member of Europe Ecologie-Les Verts (EELV) on the regional council, and was to provide training on sustainable development. The court considered that Mr. Huchon had knowingly acted in favor of this associationto whom he was close, and that he had abused his position to grant him undue help.
Mr Huchon was also sentenced to a fine of 10,000 euros and a one-year ban from office.denied any involvement in the grant selection process, but the court did not believe his version of events.
