Amidst rumors of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck getting divorced, the Daily Mail reports that Affleck’s best friend Matt Damon has warned Ben Affleck about the dangers of marrying Jennifer Lopez.

According to the reports, Matt Damon, 53, is worried that his best friend, who is an alcoholic, will relapse while rumors have it that his marriage, celebrated in July 2022, is on the rocks.
The couple were not photographed together for a month and Affleck, 51, was seen without his wedding ring. Lopez, 54, took a solo vacation to Italy, which only fueled separation rumors.
Matt Damon, who has known Affleck since their youth in Boston, reportedly advised him to “focus on his work” so as not to get lost along the way.
“Matt tried to warn Ben when he got back together with JLo that this could happen,” a source told DailyMail.com.
“Matt was there to help Ben get his act together after their first breakup and he felt like it was going to happen again.”
Unlike Affleck, Damon has had a stable marriage of 18 years to Luciana Barroso.

“Matt has had a successful marriage for years and Ben has always been impressed by that,” according to these sources.
“As things started to fall apart, Matt told Ben that he would support him in whatever he chose, but he wanted him to get out there and focus on his work. Ben spent so much time focusing on JLo’s projects, just like he did the first time around.”
The two men won an Oscar together for the film’s screenplay. Good Will Hunting and together they founded the production company Artists Equity.
