During the disappearance of Françoise Hardy on June 11we have of course mentioned her place in French song as an author and performer, but we have often forgotten to recall her appearances in the cinema, certainly anecdotal.

Even less has been mentioned about the role which forced Françoise Hardy to frequent the world of Formula 1, which she did not really like.

Indeed, Françoise Hardy appears in the film’s cast Grand Prix the John Frankenheimer sorti en 1966.

In the script, the young singer (then only 22 years old) plays the role of Lisa, the friend of Antonio Sabato (aka Nino Barlini), co-pilot ofYves Montand (Jean-Pierre Sarti) within the Scuderia Ferrari.

This was Françoise Hardy’s third appearance in the cinema after a stint in Castle in Sweden by Roger Vadim (1963) and in A Bullet in the Heart by Jean-Daniel Pollet (1965).

There are countless films in which automobiles appear on screen, whether to play leading roles or just as extras.

Several directors have praised motor racing, but most of them have wallowed in romances which satisfy circuit regulars more than fans of the 7e art !

Their films in fact glorify car racing through melodramas offering a morbid and simplified reading of the lives of drivers punctuated by romantic adventures and accidents.

Few productions leave an unforgettable memory in the minds of moviegoers, confronted with scenarios that stray between grand spectacle and melodrama, between thwarted loves and road trips…

This is the case of Grand Prix. The film was, however, well received and we always watch with pleasure this fresco which mixes numerous scenes filmed with fiction. on site.

In Grand Prix, the Monaco Grand Prix, we witness the debut of Formula 1 going from 1.5 liters to three liters and in particular of the Ferrari 312 F1.
