At 82, Chantal Goya continues to perform on stage, attracting several generations of fans. During her appearance on the show “Chez Jordan”, she revealed that she received a modest retirement.
At 82 years old, Chantal Goya continues to delight the public with its shows. The children’s singing legend recently sang the song at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, where she attracted not only her loyal admirers but also many celebrities. “I have sung for at least four generations. Parents come to see me with their children to preserve their innocence which is disappearing more quickly with video games and social networks“, she confided to Tele-Leisure a while ago. That’s not bad”she explained. This amount surprised host Jordan de Luxe, who sought to find out more. “Well, I also work. […] It’s already better than nothing“, clarified the singer before adding: “At the time, we didn’t have a pay slip, we didn’t have things like that, we were associated with the production, we didn’t have society either. But I knew I would work until I was 110.”
Passion above all: “money is not my driving force”
Jean-Jacques Debout’s wife never made money her priority. “Money is not my driving force. When I have money, I feel like I’m playing Monopoly. I always distribute the money, as soon as there is some, it goes away too “So I’ll never be someone who keeps millions.” she said last year. She had already mentioned that she did not have a pension because she did not contribute at the time. Today, she continues to perform on stage not out of financial necessity, but out of passion. Always full of energy, Chantal Goya does not plan to leave the stage anytime soon.
