A cinema legend has passed away… Sunday, August 18, 2024, Alain Delon died at the age of 88. In a statement to AFP, his children, Anthony, Anouchka and Alain-Fabien shared: “A great wild animal has died, who fascinated and divided at the same time (…) He passed away peacefully in his house in Douchy, surrounded by his three children and his family. (…) His family asks you to respect his privacy, in this extremely painful time of mourning”.
Quickly, many fans went to the actor’s home in Douchy to pay tribute to him by leaving bouquets of flowers, photos, letters and also drawings. “From up there, I know he sees. He said: ‘I’m dying alone, I’m being buried alone, and don’t bother me.’“he assured.
Explaining that Alain Delon had been “until the end of his approach”Norbert Saada had specified: “There are few actors who refuse a national tribute like that”. If the actor had not wanted to be the subject of such an event, the television channels had however disrupted their programs in order to broadcast some of his cult films.
