Frédéric Taddeï: after pocketing “50,000 euros per month”, the public service presenter finds himself “on the straw”

-

Like Laurent Ruquier who said he was “wasting” all his money when he came to LEGEND at Guillaume Pley, Frédéric Taddeï would also have a lot of trouble saving. In any case, this is what he admitted during his visit to Jordan de Luxe, for the show At Jordan’s this Friday, September 13, 2024.

During his time in the program C8, the iconic journalist and presenter of the show Tonight (or never!) from 2006 to 2016, has indeed spoken about his enormous salary when he was at the peak of his career. But also the way in which he squandered it at a crazy speed.

Frédéric Taddeï openly about his former salary

Frédéric Taddeï acknowledges that the time when he earned the most money in his life represented a “huge salary”. “30 or 50,000 euros per month?”, Jordan de Luxe then asked him, before the main person concerned confirmed half-heartedly: “Yes, more or less. When I had a lot of things. Not just on television. When I had a debate website, I’m on the radio on Europe 1, I write in newspapers, I talk about my travels.”he justifies himself.

Curious to know what we “made with 50,000 euros per month”Jordan de Luxe asked his guest about the subject. “We slap them”the 63-year-old journalist simply replied. “We spend everything? 50,000? How do we spend 50,000 euros per month?”added our colleague, unable to imagine how we can “spend” so much money in a month.

“I don’t know how much I earned. You know, when you have an income like that, which is not a fixed income, you don’t know.”Frédéric Taddeï then defends himself before adding: “It was between 30 and 50,000. We travel a lot, we buy paintings. Paintings that I paid a lot for but if I sold them today they would surely not be worth that much.”.

Today, despite the high salary he received during his career, the former presenter of Tonight (or never!) assure to be “on the straw”. “Being on the straw means that we have no more money in front of us”, he confides to Jordan de Luxe.

Before specifying: “Today, withholding tax is very good for people like me. Because when I stop Ce soir ou jamais it’s one year before withholding tax. So I still have one year before waiting for the withholding tax. As a result, I paid taxes on everything I earned last year, the following year when I earn much less. And it was horrible.”.

However, Frédéric Taddeï indicates that if he had “stopped the broadcast one year later, withholding tax, blank year”he would therefore not have “never had to pay these taxes”.
