Laury Thilleman: “She always took her car until she was 85”

On set, the 33-year-old indicated that the first symptoms of the disease could be somewhat amusing. “For Grandma Yvonne, for example, she was a very independent woman. She always took her car until she was 85. And then at a certain point, there is a loss of lucidity.
She always took her car and drove at 90 kilometers per hour, for example, in the city. and she got arrested (…) Anyway, there are plenty of affronts like that…”
she recalled.

With a smile on her lips, Laury Thilleman remembered a woman “coquette, so beautiful”. “She was leaving the retirement home (…) she was arriving with her handbag,
she ran away from the nursing homepretending to be someone who came to visit the sick”
she remembered with emotion.

Laury Thilleman: “It brings them back to life, to something reassuring”

A little amused, Laury Thilleman remembered the day her grandmother found herself sharing a flat with another resident of the retirement home where she was. She was unplugging the person next to her So there you go, it may seem funny, but it is extremely dangerous for the sick person and for those around them.”she said, before adding that her grandmother sometimes forgot to eat.

On the verge of tears,

added: “If there’s one thing she never forgot, granny, it’s Piaf and Aznavour. We used to make her sing with my mother and she knew everything inside out, it was impressive! It brings them back to life, to something reassuring… The only thing that can help in any case, I have the feeling, when I saw her eyes filled with life, is when I told her ‘I love you’ or when we sang or danced with her”.
