She also took the time to address the invisibility of women after a certain age:

“Before the pandemic, I was in a relationship. Then the pandemic happened and I kind of locked myself away: I was in burnoutin heartache, it was a big moment, on top of being confined all alone with my dog. I am someone very solitary in life, so I was like restructuring: I needed this silence. And I have the impression that before the pandemic, I was in my early forties, and I could still be an object of desire, and when the pandemic came out, it was over. Suddenly, I had gone to the other side. (…) It’s something that women had already mentioned to me; the invisibility of women after a certain age. And then you say to yourself “They’re freaking out, times are changing, it’s not the same thing anymore”…”

“How did you experience it? How did you notice it?” the co-host asked him.

“It was clear! It’s not that I want to walk down the street and be stared at, it’s that there are a lot less looks at you, special attention, or just feeling the possibility of seduction; it’s like it’s disappeared. It’s been really challengeantbecause I don’t feel like I’ve changed that much (…)»

The actress then spoke about the difficulty of seeing herself on the big screen, especially as she gets older, and her understanding and empathy for women who resort to cosmetic procedures in order to regain or maintain a certain appearance, since aging, especially as a woman in real life and in the media, is not valued.

The full episode will be available for free on digital platforms in a few weeks.
