Charlene of Monaco and Letizia of Spain: Duel of totally opposite hats with their husbands at the coronation

If there is a foreign head of state who has not dragged out the suspense over his participation in the coronation of Charles III, it is Albert of Monaco: several months ago, when the date was not yet official, Charlene’s husband had confirmed that he would be in London for this big event. A promise kept, since it was well accompanied by his wife that he went this Saturday to Westminster Abbey.

Very elegant in his tuxedo, the prince looked delighted to experience this beautiful gathering of foreign royal families and will surely remember it for a long time. Always so discreet by his side, the voluptuous Charlène turned heads in an incredible all-cream ensemble. The mother of Gabriella and Jacques indeed donned a matching light-colored blazer with a long skirt for the historic event. She paired the elegant ensemble with a matching beret and heels, carrying a shimmering gold clutch in her hand. Makeup naked for the princess, who wore an extremely small hat. If Prince George appeared very serious while holding a piece of Charles III’s trail, on his arrival at Westminster Abbey, the twins, Jacques and Gabriella, had stayed at home: at 8 and a half years old, the children are still young for this kind of events to which they are not yet accustomed. Especially since the weekend is rather busy, since the couple attended an official reception this Friday which brought together all the members of the royal families present this Saturday at the Abbey.

Royals around the world

And in particular King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain, freshly returned from Colombia and close to the British monarchy for many years. The mother-of-two kept her locks in a neat bun and topped it with a chic wide-brimmed hat. She also matched her pink shoes, as well as a clutch. If Charlene of Monaco had preferred a small hat, the Queen of Spain, she bet on a huge hat on her side. Her husband was also very elegant.

The cousins of King Felipe were also present: accompanied by his wife Mary, Frederik of Denmark, crown prince, replaces his mother Queen Margrethe II who was diminished by health problems. Pavlos of Greece, meanwhile, is accompanied by his wife Marie-Chantal and will hold for the first time the role of diadoque which he inherited this winter after the death of his father Constantin.
