This December 17, the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, launched the construction of the new industrial unit of the Trelleborg company in Nouaceur, dedicated to the manufacture of sealing systems for the aerospace sector. This investment of 106 million dirhams (10.2 million euros) aims to strengthen the Moroccan aerospace ecosystem and support the Kingdom’s strategy of improving local integration in the aeronautical value chain.

The new factory, which is expected to create between 150 and 200 jobs, is part of the Boeing ecosystem in Morocco, with a memorandum of understanding signed during the Marrakech Air Show 2024. This project marks a major step forward in competitiveness of Moroccan industry, enabling better integration into the global supply chain and supporting local suppliers with highly skilled jobs.

Trelleborg, a global leader in polymer solutions, plans to meet the growing needs of the international aerospace market, particularly in the face of demand for new aircraft. The President of Trelleborg’s Aerospace Business Unit highlighted the importance of this factory in supporting production in response to global demand and sustainability goals in the aviation industry.

This initiative demonstrates Morocco’s efforts to become a competitive platform serving the region, supported by natural resources and local production capacities.
