According to a press release published on Tuesday, December 17, the leadership of the Greens held several meetings in order to assess the situation prevailing within the Casablanca formation and take the necessary measures to remedy it.
Among other decisions, management recommends a new structuring of working methods and the recruitment of a new competent sports director, capable of providing solutions to the situation of the Raja first team.
The press release also specifies that it was decided to appoint Hafid Abdessadek to the post of assistant coach of Portuguese technician Ricardo Sa Pinto, strongly criticized for his poor results.
The Steering Committee of the metropolitan club also promises greater communication with members and supporters in order to find appropriate solutions to get out of the current situation.
As a reminder, faced with the crisis of results which reigns within the Greens, the supporters demand the departure of the coach Ricardo Sa Pinto. But attempts at an amicable separation were unsuccessful, given the refusal of the Portuguese technician who demanded the entire release clause, estimated at 5 million DH.
Currently, Raja occupies the last place in Group B of the Champions League with just one point, after two defeats against AS FAR (2-0) and Mamelodi Sundowns (1-0), as well as a draw against Maniema Union. In the Moroccan championship, the Greens are tenth with 17 points, but have two games in hand.
