Two conditions must be met to benefit from this aid.
In Marroles-les-Braults (Sarthe), the town hall has just implemented a project that is original to say the least: offering exceptional aid of 5,000 euros to those who buy a property or build on its territory.
The idea comes from a study on housing commissioned by the municipality of 2,200 inhabitants in 2023, and which “highlights the problem of the aging of the population (550 inhabitants are over 70 years old, editor's note), but also vacant houses that owners no longer want to rent,” reports Bfmbusiness.
Furthermore, two classes have been closed since 2020. Reasons which motivated the municipality to opt for this method.
“Attract young couples”
“If we want to preserve this dynamism, we must act to attract young couples,” says Mayor Francis Belluau to our colleagues. To do this, he set up this installation aid with a few conditions: being under 40 years old and never having been an owner.
In addition to the 5,000 euros, there is aid of 1,000 euros per child under 15 years old. Definitely a great way to attract families to this town which has six doctors.
The City has budgeted 30,000 euros for this project. An envelope which could be supplemented if the operation is successful.
