Soon a GT or a Bugatti sedan?

Soon a GT or a Bugatti sedan?

Just a few days ago, the world was stunned by the discovery of Bugatti’s brand new hypercar, called the Tourbillon. As sculptural as its predecessor, the Chiron, the newcomer hides a major difference from the latter: an all-new naturally aspirated V16 engine, assisted by a hybrid system composed of three electric motors. And it is precisely a conversation around this V16 that makes us want to imagine a possible second Bugatti model.

The front engine is a true Bugatti tradition.– Bugatti

In the front

It should be noted that this engine was not developed internally by Bugatti, but by the very high-performance engine specialist, Cosworth. The question then arises as to the profitability of such an investment, knowing that the Tourbillon will only be produced in 250 units. Our English colleagues at Autocar asked Frank Heyl, head of design at Bugatti, if this engine could be placed elsewhere than in the center of the car, for example under a long front hood. And according to Heyl, it is perfectly possible, by moving certain elements. So? Does this mean that Bugatti could prepare a front-engined coupe, which has a rich history? Or even a super-sedan, as has been imagined by several concepts in the last 20 years? We hope to find out very soon.
