In his eyes, the very high-speed plan, which aims to cover the territory with fiber optics by 2025, is stalling. France, which has managed to connect no fewer than 38 million homes in the space of 10 years, is a model student in Europe. Nearly 87% of French homes are eligible for this technology allowing much higher speeds. This titanic project cost a whopping 35.7 billion euros, according to calculations by France Stratégie.
