After the Victor in 2020, a unique model with 848 hp based on the One-77, the Valor in 2023 with 715 hp which will be produced in 110 units to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the British firm, here is the Valiant. The latter also contains a V12 biturbo engine with a capacity of 5.2 liters and distilling a power of 745 hp for a torque value of 753 Nm which passes to the ground through a 6-speed gearbox.

This 4.60 m long racing car will make its first public appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, from July 11 to 14, with a demonstration on the famous Hill Climb course. The Aston Martin Valiant will be assembled in 38 units. Does the brand have a stock of V12 engines to sell? In any case, designed for the track and approved for use on the open road, this car will be delivered to its happy customers in the fourth quarter, the unit price has not been indicated.

The Newport-Pagnell brand indicates that it would be a personal order from Fernando Alonso, the driver of the house Formula 1 team, who wanted a lighter version of the Valor. With this in mind, the body of the Aston Martin Valiant is made entirely of carbon. This noble fiber remains visible in many places. The Valiant, like the Valor before it, takes its inspiration from the Aston Martin Muncher known internally under the code RHAM/1 (see below) which took part in the famous Le Mancelle endurance event in 1977 and 1979.

A racing car which also has a unique record to its credit, that of having towed a caravan at a speed of 200 km/h. But don’t look for a tow ball on the Aston Martin Valiant, the connection with the Muncher stops at the cosmetic level and then Fernando Alonso is perhaps not a fan of caravanning.

The style is virile and even very aggressive, particularly at the level of the very elaborate rocker panels.. At the rear, the quadruple outlet also sets the tone, as does the rear window obscured by aerodynamic fins.

A well-developed mechanical gearbox

The passenger compartment is in tune with a pair of bucket seats supplied by the specialist Recaro, the shell of which mirrors that of the bodywork and is separated by the transmission tunnel.. The latter is crossed by the H-shaped selector of the gearbox which brings a technical touch with the visible hexagon allen screws in particular. The dashboard takes up the formal register of the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera. Aston Martin indicates that the Valiant will be followed by other non-series models.
