Geneva police are looking for witnesses to a hit-and-run accident which occurred Tuesday on the St-Julien road (illustrative photo).

A 39-year-old motorcyclist was struck Tuesday morning around 9:50 a.m. on the St-Julien road by a vehicle which fled without helping her. Seriously injured, she was taken by ambulance to hospital. The police are looking for witnesses.

The accident occurred shortly before 9:50 a.m. Coming from the Certoux road, the motorcyclist was traveling on the Saint-Julien road in Perly-Certoux, towards the Mattines road. While she was traveling in the right lane, a car driving in the central lane pulled in front of her, Geneva police communicated on Thursday.

A collision then occurred between the two vehicles. Following the collision, the motorcyclist fell onto the road and was seriously injured. The car fled and the driver has not been identified to date. The motorcyclist was unable to provide details about the vehicle.
