Rue de Rivoli is regaining color. After a series of closures in recent years, one of the main shopping streets of Paris attracts new brands, rather high-end. While the former C&A, at 126, will be transformed into a Radisson hotel, 98, opposite the Town Hall, has just been taken over by the crème de la crème of Dutch nail salons: Pink Gellac.

Colors galore

Founded in 2013 by Steven Renes and Leontine van der Ploeg, the brand specializing in gel nail polish and semi-permanent first proved its worth online, before starting to open its Color boutiques in “the most beautiful shopping streets” of the Netherlands and Belgium. The one in Paris is its first in France.

Inside, appearance-conscious consumers right down to their nails can get their hands on the complete Pink Gellac collection, which includes over 250 gel nail polish colors, with a new 5-color collection launched every month, recalls the brand on its website in French.

“We are extremely proud to spread our wings to the French market, the birthplace of some iconic beauty brands,” said Thera Strietman, CEO of Pink Gellac, at the opening celebrated with the launch of Parisian Pink color. So chic.
