The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) arrested an alleged serial sexual predator on Thursday morning who allegedly killed nearly a dozen minor victims, including one only 12 years old, over the past year in Montérégie. .

The young man who will celebrate his 19th birthday in a few days appeared in the afternoon on no fewer than 25 charges, by videoconference, at the Sorel-Tracy courthouse. As the Crown opposed his release, he will remain detained pending further proceedings. He is due back in court on Monday. According to the arrest warrant issued against him, Sejuro Navarro allegedly made no fewer than nine victims of sexual crimes in less than a year. The crimes allegedly occurred in several cities, including Saint-Amable, Longueuil, Brossard and Montreal, between June 2023 and last April.
