Hektar Real Estate Investment Trust (the Fund) is a Malaysia-based retail-focused real estate investment trust (REIT). The primary objectives of the fund are to provide unitholders with sustainable dividend income and to achieve long-term capital appreciation of the fund. The Trust’s investment strategies include the investment and management of real estate assets primarily related to retail and/or shopping centers, long-term investment, management and continued mining of synergies and efficiencies of the existing portfolio, and others. The Trust’s commercial property portfolio includes Subang Parade in Subang Jaya, Selangor; Mahkota Parade in Melaka; Wetex Parade & Classic Hotel in Muar, Johor; Central Square in Sungai Petani, Kedah; Kulim Central in Kulim, Kedah, and Segamat Central in Segamat, Johor. The manager of the Trust is Hektar Asset Management Sdn Bhd and the property manager is Hektar Property Services Sdn Bhd.
