DMany workers will benefit from a 3.5% indexation of their salary in January. Employees in the hospitality sector, international trade, logistics, transport and food will be particularly affected.
Salary indexation will apply to numerous joint committees, including CP200, which brings together more than half a million employees, CP302, which concerns the hotel industry, CP226, international trade, CP118 and CP220, the food industry and CP140.03, road transport.
Each sector is indexed according to its own system and at a different pace. Certain sectors have already benefited from salary indexation on October 1 (chemistry, small businesses and department stores).
In January 2025, indexation should therefore be higher than last year, when the wage index was only 1.48%. The indexation of the CP200 sector (employees) should now be around 3.5%.
For the public sector and social benefits, the pivotal index was last exceeded in April. The Federal Planning Bureau now assumes that the next pivotal index will be reached in January, increasing public sector benefits by 2% in February.
