Simplifying, putting a brake on over-regulation and prohibiting over-transpositions remain priorities for the president of the CPME who is calling for the establishment of an SME test at European level. Another point of vigilance: the draft regulation on late payments. The progress obtained thanks to the strong involvement of certain parliamentarians must be preserved and the ministers of the 27 must not call them into question. Preserving sectoral exemptions is essential and it would be inconceivable to increase the payment deadline applicable to public authorities to 60 days, a step backwards compared to the directive currently in force which sets this payment deadline at 30 days for commercial transactions where the debtor is a public authority.

And as the European election draws closer, the CPME will put online every week until June 9 6 thematic videos on the actions of French MEPs over the last 5 years, in the economic field. 6 short video interviews with MPs from different parties which approach different angles and allow you to get a concrete idea of their achievements in favor of SMEs.

This series is part of a special file on the European elections, available on the CPME website. By going there, you will be able to see replays of the hearings of the main leaders of the lists or even browse the CPME white paper to go to the polls with full knowledge of the facts.

As they are produced and until June 9, the videos from the “A new European momentum” series will be broadcast on the CPME’s Linkedin and X accounts.
