After New York, Atlanta and Philadelphia, a fourth destination opened in the United States by United Airlines from May 25: a seasonal connection to Washington DC with four weekly flights.

The comeback of Americans was particularly noticeable this summer season, boosted by direct airlines to the United States (three connections with New York from Delta, United Airlines and La Compagnie, one -Atlanta and one Nice-Philadelphia). The American company announced today the launch of a new direct seasonal connection between Nice Côte d’Azur Airport and its Washington DC hub, at a rate of four weekly flights from May 25, 2025 (subject to government approval). With this new route, United will increase its seat offering between Nice and the United States by more than 25% for summer 2025. This new service is in addition to its existing seasonal route between Nice and New York/Newark. The Nice-Washington DC will be operated by Boeing 767-300, offering 30 United PolarisSM business class suites with direct aisle access, 24 United Premium PlusSM seats and 149 economy class seats, including 32 United Economy PlusSM seats.

“We are delighted to announce this expansion of our network between and the United States, and the launch of United’s first route between Nice and Washington DC” declared Marcel FuchsGeneral Manager of International Sales. “For summer 2025, our passengers in Nice will benefit from expanded travel choice, a direct connection to the American capital, as well as convenient connections via our hubs in Washington DC and New York/Newark to 78 destinations in America .” This new route is part of the largest international expansion in United’s history, which will add 11 new flights and 8 new destinations for its passengers next summer.
