A success achieved in a packed room, due to an evening called “Pink night” and organized as part of the Pink October operation. Matthieu Trouvay’s players therefore spoiled the Alsatian party, to the great pleasure of the coach.
“A mental victory”
“It’s satisfying to win in this context. There was a particular enthusiasm, an opponent who plays with great intensity, explains the Champagne coach. When a group is young, it can sometimes break down when things get complicated. There, we remained rather serene and united despite the difficulties, finding the energy to remain constant and focused. »
Winning in these conditions, by picking up “a mental victory, which could have fallen either way”, is therefore an interesting indicator for the future. Now beware of the sin of confidence that can appear when a collective is running strong. In any case, Matthieu Trouvay is watching.
“I had already given a reminder at the start of the week, because we hadn’t necessarily started our training week well. There was a bit of slackening and we had to dot the i’s a little, to remind ourselves that this was only the beginning of the book, that there are still many chapters to write, that we don’t had accomplished nothing yet and many challenges remained. »
