The weekly “La Tribune Dimanche” celebrates its first satisfied anniversary

With 45,422 copies sold on average for each issue published between October 2023 and June 2024 (figures certified by the Alliance for Press and Media Figures), the results are more than satisfactory, assure Tatiana de Francqueville, the director general, and Jean-Christophe Tortora, the general director of CMA Média, the media branch of the CMA CGM group of Rodolphe Saadé, owner of the title.

For comparison, The Sunday Journalwith a much longer history (it was created in 1948), sold an average of 101,662 copies (down 16.51% over the year). The Parisian Sundaywhich appeared in 2018, posted 163,293 sales (up 4.92%). With 595,741 copies, the regional West remains by far the most widely distributed newspaper that day (at − 2.44%).

Advertising equation

“If we had been told that we would sell 45,000 La Tribune Sunday after a year, we would have signed straight away! », assures Mr. Tortora. At the time of launch, the goal was set at 30,000 copies, including 25,000 on newsstands. For the latter, sales stand, for the moment, at 18,680 copies, to which must be added 10,112 individual digital subscriptions and just under 1,700 subscribers to the print version. Finally, 14,975 sales are made through digital press kiosks such as Cafeyn. With 6.9 pages of advertising on average in each edition, the advertising equation is also considered satisfactory. “We are still conqueringrecognizes Mr. Tortora, who is aiming for 60,000 sales in 2025. While the newspaper is very strong in metropolises, we must be more present in rural areas and in peri-urban areas. »
