Winters 2024, traveling festival in Essonne

From January 7 to March 9, 2025, around fifteen performances will be offered roaming in as many rural communities in the department before meeting up for 3 exceptional performances, under a big top, at the end of the festival.

Born in 2005, the “Les Hivernales” festival has established itself over the years as an essential cultural event in the rural south of the Essonne department. For 20 years, “Les Hivernales” has been offering a new model of broadcast residency – original and unique – which offers a passing artistic team the opportunity to meet and build links with a territory and its inhabitants. Because that’s what it’s all about. A story of shared passions and human encounters. A project attentive to oneself, to others and to the world to create community and invent together, show after show, year after year, moments of intimacy and eternity.

The circus in the spotlight: 4 invited companies

The program, initially focused on theater, has opened up over the years to other artistic disciplines: mime, clown, contemporary dance, magic, musical humor, mask, storytelling, puppetry, burlesque theater… making this event a a real tool for cultural development.
For this special edition: the circus is in the spotlight with not one but four companies.
