After winning the title of Miss in 2019, Vaimalama Chaves has set new goals. Indeed, the former Miss Tahiti swapped her heels for dumbbells, and invested body and soul in female bodybuilding. A year of intense preparation, marked by a radical physical change, which she approached with great humor on the show 50 minutes Inside.

An impressive physical transformation

Vaimalama Chaves takes her new challenge very seriously! After a full year of preparation, the former beauty queen entered the Miss Bikini Fitness 2024 competition, a female bodybuilding competition. In a sequence broadcast on TF1, the 29-year-old young woman did not hide the sacrifices she had to make to achieve her goal: strict diet, intensive training and hours spent in the gym.

The physical appearance of the former Miss Tahiti has undergone profound changes. Always ready to laugh at her situation, she humorously confided to 50 minutes Inside: “I no longer have breasts, I lost everything, now I have pecs! “.

A sporting journey closely followed by its fans

Vaimalama Chaves has shared every step of her journey with her followers on Instagram. From her training sessions to her moments of doubt, the ex-Miss has transparently documented this year of hard work. For her first competition in Saint-Cannat, she paraded in a bikini, an evening dress and a one-piece swimsuit.

But despite her immense commitment, the miss did not get on the podium. She placed 5th in the Miss Bikini Fitness category and 2nd in Fitness Model. But that doesn’t seem to demotivate her. Always with a smile, she commented on her performance: “I’ve been working on this project for a year and the result is beyond belief! In truth, I wasn’t ready yet.”.
