DIn view of the future amusement park planned in Marrakech, the minister spoke with the general director of the Miral group, Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, specializing in the investment and management of amusement parks.

On this occasion, she visited the four emblematic parks of Abu Dhabi, namely Warner Bros, SeaWorld, Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld in order to observe best practices in the sector, the ministry said in a press release.

Located on a 200-hectare plot of land, located near the A7 motorway and the railway line linking Casablanca to Marrakech, the future Marrakech theme park will celebrate Moroccan and African history, according to information obtained in 2023 by Media24.

Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in grandiose reconstructions of epic battles, historical revolts and knights’ tournaments, enriched by nightly sound and light shows.

This park will feature a variety of attractions, including roller coasters, boat rides, and animal shows, as well as landscaped gardens, mazes, and themed villages offering shops, restaurants, and exhibits. Visitors looking to extend their experience will be able to choose between themed hotels and campsites.

The project, which should require a budget of 3 billion dirhams, is one of the 14 priority projects of the ministry’s 2023-2026 roadmap, and is the result of a public-private arrangement.

He is now awaiting the commitment of investors to begin the work, which is expected to take 18 months. Preliminary studies, carried out by the Ithmar fund and a Qatari investment fund, confirmed the feasibility and profitability of the project.
