Egis: the ecological modernization of Paris-Beauvais airport is launched

The modernization project is motivated by saturation of current installations.

It forecasts the net increase of 1 000 m2 of commercial space et 2 000 places de parking additional, with work focused exclusively on the current land footprint.

The reuse of terminals and existing aprons allow save 30% of greenhouse gas emissions compared to the construction of a new terminal of equivalent capacity.

It is planned to install more than 120,000 m² of photovoltaic panels in shade at the visitor car parks.

The objective is in fact to obtain the BREEAM Excellent 2 environmental certification*.

Furthermore, in terms of airport certification, Bellova aims for the level ACA (Airport Carbon Accreditation) 3+ from 2028, then ACA 4+ before 2032. The latter corresponds to ambitious absolute reduction objectives, to be compatible with the Agreement.

The project aims to generate numerous direct and indirect jobs. The airport currently represents 1,200 direct jobs and around 3,000 jobs in total.
