Eroticism is an indefinable practice

“What I find interesting is that eroticism is a practice, and we cannot give a definition. As Lou Andreas Salomé said, we will only be able to define eroticism when all men have fucked in every way possible, which will never happen Eroticism is something that is in motion and that we constantly reinvent. For example, every time two lovers meet, something happens. something of the order of the definition of eroticism, it is not limited to enjoyment, it is not limited to penetration, it is much broader: in fact, it encompasses all of life.” Camille Moreau

Cristina@horizonetinfini’s question about “Emmanuelle”: “I read Emmanuel at 16. I intended to read an eminently erotic, pornographic text, and I was disturbed because I discovered an initiatory book. I discovered the lesson of a woman, a voice strong who spoke of erudition, of knowledge. Camille Moreau, you are a specialist in erotic and women’s literature. Today, I reread Emmanuel, after discovering your work. You tell us about Emmanuel Maraïa. very intrigued, and you say that, the more she learns, the more she is free, the more she discovers the pleasure there is to know. So I want to ask you if the word pleasure would not be central? wouldn’t this book be the book of all pleasures and also of the pleasure of words?”
