The event was jointly organized by Phenikaa Group, Phenikaa University, Synopsys Group and the University of Arizona from the States.

Present at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha highlighted the great opportunity for Vietnam to become a strategic destination in the global semiconductor supply chain, saying the country has taken specific measures to facilitate this. industry.

The government is focusing on developing a development strategy for the semiconductor industry and a personnel training project for the sector in line with international standards, he said.

To boost the semiconductor industry, it is necessary to identify Vietnam’s strengths and build a pool of human resources meeting international standards, the Deputy Prime Minister noted, adding that there should be mechanisms to encourage businesses to play a role in staff training.

Suggesting the organization of intensive training courses, Tran Hong Ha said Vietnam is willing to receive support from the United States and major companies in the semiconductor industry.

He also affirmed the government’s commitment to supporting training institutions and businesses to create an enabling environment and encourage innovation, research and development and production in this industry.

Participants discussed the feasibility of training 50,000 semiconductor engineers by 2030, government incentives given to universities for training semiconductor personnel and how to build a human resource pipeline.

Phenikaa Group and its partners announced their specific measures to support the Vietnamese government in developing high-quality human resources in the semiconductor sector.

Within the framework of the conference, Phenikaa Group exchanged strategic cooperation agreements with the University of Arizona of the United States, Chang Gung University of Taiwan (China) and some companies.

On this occasion, the Semiconductor Human Resources Training and Research Alliance, established by Phenikaa University and Da Nang under a public-private partnership, made its debut . The alliance aims to develop a high-quality workforce in the semiconductor sector for domestic and foreign markets.
