The historic Lotto Max jackpot, which has now reached a new record of $80 million, was won on Tuesday thanks to two tickets, one of which was purchased in Quebec.

The holders of these two winning selections during Tuesday evening’s draw thus win $40 million each, Loto-Québec indicated in a press release on Wednesday.

The winning combination is 02, 04, 11, 16, 25, 29 and 47 with the complementary number 34, according to the results posted on the Loto-Québec website.

In addition, of the 18 Maxmillions, worth $1 million each, put into play during the same draw, four were won in La Belle Province, according to the state-owned company.

“The Lotto Max jackpot of $80 million is the largest amount ever awarded in a Canadian lottery, and we are very pleased that it was won here in Quebec,” said Isabelle Jean, Executive Vice-President and Chief Lottery Officer at Loto-Québec.

Since the lottery was launched, Quebecers have won some 43 jackpots, including three of $70 million, the largest jackpots ever won in Quebec.
