Sunday, for its last event of the year, Vitalité Rurale played at home. Indeed, the association, based in Vannes-sur-Cosson, had taken over the village hall for the third Vannese edition of its intimate readings, bringing together around thirty artists.
“Our association, which is now four years old, aims, in particular, to develop culture in rural areas,” recalls Christian Beaudin, the president. This year alone, it organized thirty-seven events, mainly in Loiret.
Bringing culture to life
“There are book fairs, exhibitions, and concerts too, to promote local artists,” explains Christian Beaudin.
Often, the arts are mixed. Thus, it is not uncommon to be able to attend, for example, a concert or a performance during a book fair. In this case, on Sunday, the Loire barker C’Nabum enchanted visitors with his stories related to Christmas.
“What characterizes these events is the goodwill between authors, between exhibitors or between creators, which contributes to a good atmosphere,” notes Frédéric Fort, author, and “poet on command”: in a few minutes, from ‘a word or an intention, he writes poetry.
Moreover, the combination of talents of the day allowed visitors to have a wide range of works, from autobiographical stories to tales, including detective novels or books dedicated to youth.
