Last Saturday, the readers’ club met with the theme “Are science fiction authors visionaries?”. This was quite a question which made it possible to discover new authors approaching the question from different perspectives. After this presentation of a selection to try to answer this question, the readers present discussed the Books presented and also recommended reading suggestions on other themes. The librarians specify that this selection of books remains highlighted at reception until the next readers’ club which is scheduled soon… in 2025, Saturday January 11 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. as usual, at the media library from Cancon. Everyone will notice that the schedule is modified to perhaps allow other people to join this club of exchanges between readers. Furthermore, “surprise reservations” have been created: to share a favorite, when you bring back your book/CD, take a slip from the box at reception and give it at the same time as their favorite to the librarians; this document will immediately be placed on reservation on the account of the reader chosen at random. The latter will be notified by email that a reservation awaits them in the library. A very good idea, right?
