For a week, Miss Curvy from all over France met in Mimizan, location of the 2024 national election. An intense week, emotionally, mentally and physically.
This adventure goes beyond the limits of a beauty pageant, as Miss Curvy vice-president Jessica points out.
What is important is that they can exist. It is things they didn’t understand before Miss Curvy. They forgot themselves because they had experienced difficult things.

The Miss Curvys share their stories with each other during this week of preparation. A way to understand the personal reasons of each participant for engaging in this competition. Miss Curvy Île-de-France 2023, for example, shares the fact that this competition helped her a lot to get her head back on track, and to assert who she was. Another confides in the harassment she suffered when she was young because of her curves while she had health problems.
This competition is different from the Miss France competition, it highlights the beauty of curvy women, but not only that. As the jury points out, attitude also counts, Miss Curvy must be able to speak up to represent all the others.
Audrey, Miss Curvy Centre-Val de Loire, also shares her concerns about this great challenge of successfully conveying a beautiful message of self-love. For her, it’s not just about conveying a message for curvy women, but for all women.
It’s important because I had this need to represent women, to find a model, to try to bring together all women as best as possible because well beyond the competition, I find that it is very important to bring together women among themselves, whether we are a size 42 or a size 34.

For Audrey, all women must unite in the face of their differences. She adds: “ I found in this competition an opportunity to unite all these women and regain confidence in myself. »
Today, and thanks to this documentary, we see a real awareness of society on several levels, particularly with regard to body image, inclusiveness and beauty standards.
We first follow moments in the life of Audrey, Miss Curvy Centre-Val de Loire 2023. Her various missions as ambassador for curvy women in the region, which are numerous. We accompany him, for example, in thee Roundness living room and well-being in Wattrelos, in a parade or even in the creation of her custom-made dress for the national election.
Then, with this election and strong testimonies, we become aware of the difficulties that certain women still encounter in finding their place in society. We see women surpassing themselves, feeling proud of what they do and above all recognizing that they have their place in this beauty contest and that they deserve it.
