Luzech. A dream come true in the heart of a book

It’s a whole adventure that is written in itself before the publication of a work, and a happy ending filled with pride when the author finally reveals the fruit of his work and his love united at the very heart of a book… of his book. This emotion could be seen on the face of Cathy Royère, on the occasion of the dedication of her first illustrated novel, “The Story of Buddha and Mickey”, last Wednesday at the Luzech media library.

A most touching meeting with a passionate woman, who invested tirelessly for a year with the support of the Esat de Boissor animation center. With a disability, Cathy Royère simply wanted to make her drawings speak and give them a beautiful story. Throughout the pages, her texts imbued with humanity highlight the deep friendship between a cat and Buddha, which she took inspiration from the trip to Asia of the former director of the establishment. The softness of his pastel paintings which illustrate his book also brightened up the walls of the media library during the opening.

L’Esat de Boissor and its animators accompanied Cathy Royère in her creation, from the painting workshop with Yohann Bizien, to the writing workshop alongside Karine who initiated the project, then taken over by Mona Soupa. A dream come true that the new author shared easily with many friends and part of the team.

“The story of Buddha and Mickey” by Cathy Royère, book on sale at the Boissor boutique in Luzech (Tel. 05 65 30 77 42).
