Even the weather was good to add to the success of the 4th Book Fair, Sunday June 23 in the Catus hall. From the morning, all the writers and publishing professionals were hard at work, warmly welcomed by the organizer Dany Vacandare and the members of the house of associations. This year, the “first time writers” were in the spotlight: Catussienne Marion Potvin and her testimonial book; a group of five Cadurcian friends with their “Role playing games” comic strip drawn by Tyef; the Gersoise Morgane Lascours, Jean-Marc Farge, d’Espère (romance); Laurence Larroque, de Cazals and his book testimony; Réjane Édouard, from Peyrilles with a police officer and a family secret.

Guest of honour: Gilles Bourdy, a poet from Martigues. And then all the others: Anne Marie O’Donovan, from Labastide-du-Vert; Philippe Delamarre, from Crayssac with his detective novels; Jocelyne Frioux, from Cazes-Mondenard, and her detective and fantasy novels; the Racines bookshop, from Prayssac; Peyrine “Grafibule”, a comic book artist, from Villefranche-de-Rouergue; Giuseppe Castelli, from Caussade; the novels of Nadine Lamaison from Toulouse, winner of two regional prizes; Jean Matthieu Clot, from Belvès and his historical novels; Herveline Riou, from Concots with her Congolese stories; the very prolific Colette Brogniart, from Saint-Cernin; Anne Logvinoff-Mouilleron, and her children’s comics; the historical novels of Claude Rannou from Toulouse; Daniel Depaepe, from Puy-l’Évêque with his historical-fantasy-detective novels; Graziella Capraro, from Figeac, who makes animals speak in her stories; Hélène Marche, from Tarn-et-Garonne and her bilingual books; the Catussian chef Ken Hom, who only had to cross the street with his recipes; the Godslayers, from Montcuq (mangas, youth comics, illustrated books); Annick Tomlinson, from Cazals and her bilingual children’s books;

Also descended from Crayssac, Julie Lesuisse with romances, espionage and fantasy; Emmanuel Dufour, from Périgueux; Sylvie Staub, from Souillac for children’s books, or historical comics; Virginie Mejecaze, from Sarlat, illustrator of children’s books; Mamita, (children’s books); Rémi Ros (82) History; and Régine Laprade, from Brive, and her novels.

At the end of the morning, young Eloïse gave a superb reading of the Legend of the Cat, and a poet read a tribute text by Bernard Pivot. To conclude this beautiful day, Dany Vacandare launched an appeal: “Write, and above all, read everyone!”
