The bookstore “Le Vent des Mots” has announced its busy schedule for the end of the year. From the creation of the association dedicated to participation in literary fairs, the tone is set!

A few weeks ago, Pierre, a happy bookseller at the helm of Vent des Mots, in Lannemezan, confided his desire to find lovers of literature, culture and various activities around books, within an association that he called for his wishes.

During a first meeting in a room at the Le Grand Rio cinema, he invited interested people to come and join him and exchange ideas on the subject and make proposals to liven up the heart of the city.

Today, it is therefore with undisguised pleasure that the young man announced that this association would see the light of day very quickly: “We would first of all like to thank you for having responded to the Friends association du Vent des Mots The association is now being created, the statutes should be submitted shortly. In order to allow others to join the ranks of this new entity, Pierre has also planned another meeting: “Many of you were not able to come during the first meeting. A new meeting will take place next Tuesday, November 26, still at the meeting room of the La Grand Rio cinema in Lannemezan.

Book signings and book fairs

Alongside this important stage in the literary life of the town, Vent des Mots always offers numerous discoveries and meetings with authors, particularly during signing sessions organized within the bookstore itself.

A way also to facilitate meetings between readers and those who write their favorite books, good times in perspective: “We also offer new Wednesday morning meetings in the bookstore, but also two meetings outside, enough to give you some gift ideas for the end of the year. Wednesday November 13, it will be Catherine Chalew's turn to present her works on personal development. Wednesday November 20, Cécile Blanche will present her new novel entitled “Comme la nuit. embrace the day”, a novel in which the difficulties of life will be overcome to show us their meaning and value. We continue on Wednesday November 27 in the presence of Perry Taylor who gives us the pleasure of coming back to see us, without anything new this year, for a signing session of all of his work”.

Le Vent des Mots also travels outside of Lannemezan, and on Saturday November 9 afternoon, it will be well represented in Capvern, during the first edition of the social thriller fair. Sunday, December 1st, head to La Barthe-de-Neste to participate, all day long, in the book fair, organized by the Bibliothèque pour Tous.

As Christmas approaches, the bookstore's shelves are well stocked with a selection of books for the end-of-year holidays: “There is something for everyone, from children's albums to novels for young and old, in the bookstore but also on our website.
