Right between the start of the literary school year and the end-of-year holidays, autumn is a period of abundance for the world of books. This is the season that the Kit culture association has chosen to organize the new edition of Beaupuy se delivered. The show, which attracted around 1,500 visitors last time, will take place on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 November.

Until spring, the event will have “a different atmosphere”, enthuses Danièle Pourteau, in charge of programming. An atmosphere conducive to reading, which the rain will not spoil, the show taking place this year at the Collineum Pascal-Laperche.

Like an aperitif at the show, a festive evening will whet the appetite of readers, Friday 15, at 7 p.m. Eight authors will meet at the Castelnau-sur-Gupie community bar to “praise my bar” (registrations open until November 12). A writing session, around a cheese board, which will bring together artists of all styles: Maurice Gouiran, Paola Pigani, Valérie de La Torre, Claire Garralon, Gilles Vincent, Roland Fuentès, Ixchel Delaporte and Éric Decouty.

How to write mental disorder?

The latter, an investigative journalist, notably for “VSD”, “Libération” and “Marianne”, is the founder, with Christophe Barbier, of the weekly opinion magazine “Franc-Tireur”. Her interlocutor, novelist and poet, delivers with “The Castle of the Insane” (Liana Lévi, 2024), a story of the emancipation of a young woman with a team of therapists using modern methods, at the end of the 1930s .

Stories of memories

Readers will be able to chat with Paolo Bellomo (Saturday, at 2:15 p.m.), guest of the Libellule bookstore, who fell in love with his first novel, “Faïel and the stories of the world” (Le Tripode, 2024). All the authors cited will of course be present at the signing alongside many other authors, including the travel writer Catherine Poulain, the Marmandaise Mélanie Fievet and Gilles Marchand, author of “Soldat décondéé”. Round tables, workshops, games and a dictation (Sunday, at 10 a.m.) will also be organized.
