The Villages-Vovéens. Culture exposed in rurality. The Vitalité Rurale association represented by Christian Beaudin, himself an author and photographer, in conjunction with the Villages-Vovéens and the library, organized its second book fair last Sunday, in the Silvia-Monfort room.

Around forty authors

Around forty local or surrounding authors presented their works. A beautiful range of writing was presented: youth, thrillers, historical stories, novels, local , mangas, science fiction, comics, poetry and fantasies.

An anthology of works that writers describe with passion, revealing their world. All ages are represented, all professions too.

Among the Vové authors, we could meet Lydie Delanoue, former professor of French and history-geography at Voves college until 2006, who has published numerous works. Others are still “at the bottom of the drawer” and have never been published: she presented a biography of Eugène Farcot. The historian Etienne Egret was also present. He is a member of the Souvenir du camp de Voves, author of Voves 1942-1944, a camp in Eure-et-Loir or even Voves’ Great Escape which inspired the filmmakers. Alain Denizet, described as a reference in the history of Eure-et-Loir from the 19th century e century and early 20th e century, also participated: he published Investigation of an uneventful peasant in 2007, but reissued regularly since then, especially for schools.

Gilbert Teneze, who sails between Cotentin and Eure-et-Loir, tells true stories about the integration of new arrivals in the region.

Roger Judenne, very attached to the Resistance in the Voves region, came to present his work C five days before the arrival of the Americans .
