Secours populaire is participating in the Give to read operation, from October 17, 2024 until December 15, 2024, in Landivisiau. This meeting, initiated at the national level by the Secours populaire français and the French bookstore union. Thanks to the 750 independent bookstores participating in the operation and the purchases of their customers, 22,000 were offered, in 2023, to children accompanied by the Secours populaire français, sponsored for this edition by the journalist Émilie Tran Nguyen.

“The Landivisians are generous”

“Like every year for the past five years, our Secours populaire committee is happy to carry out this initiative in partnership with the Landivisian bookstore Mots d’ici et d’Ailleurs,” says Catherine Le Ster, deputy general secretary of the association. “It’s important to be able to offer new books to the children of the families we support locally. It’s such an extraordinary vector for stimulating the imagination. The Landivisians are generous, we are happy to be able to count on them. »
