The Maison de Ma Région in Nîmes is organizing the first edition: “Books and images” by talents from Gard.
They are photographers, designers, writers and they enhance the region with their talent. Since October 15 and until the end of the month, an exhibition entitled ‘Book and images’ has been on display at ‘La Maison Ma Région’, 3 Place des Arènes in Nîmes. Nine Gard residents exhibit their works which are recorded in books. This Thursday, they were present for the opening of the exhibition. It is an opportunity to interact with the public, sell and sign their works. “ I had fun writing books about the city. The last one is called ‘Nîmes at the blue hour. It consists of photos taken at sunset. There is also a book on caravans in Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie and one in Nîmes during the covid confinement. I am a self-publisher and I design books from A to Z » explained Dominique Marck.

« Our photos are taken by microlight and not by drone, as I am often asked. The more scared I am, the more I take photos” confided Christine Tron who, with her companion Thomas, takes aerial photos of the Gard. During “Books and Images”, the works of Jean-Pierre Ricard, Philippe Ibars, Thierry Gilhodez, Gilles Lorfevre, Carole Reboul, Eddy Pons, Bernard Mathes are also present. The exhibition is on view until October 31 at La Maison de Ma Région during reception opening hours.
