It is an unmissable event every year. Wednesday May 8, 2024, the Friends of the Book association is organizing the 12th edition of his Book Fairin Neuvy-le-Roi (Indre-et-Loire), in the Jeanne-d’Arc park, in the reception room and in the Armand-Moisant room.
A big sale around books
Like every year, the event brings together sellers of books, vinyls, cards postal, comics, stamps etc… They are professionals as well as individuals.
“Individuals are still the majority but everyone is at the same level. That is to say that professionals do not charge exorbitant prices to individuals. They also find it interesting because they can exchange books with individuals,” explains Annick Couderc, from the organizing association.
For its part, the association sells books resulting from the weeding of several libraries.
More than 55 exhibitors expected
To organize such an event, logistics are important. ” We have 220 meters covered, in case of bad weather. It’s already been full for about two weeks. We have approximately 55 exhibitors advertisement. »
Outside, 370 linear meters are also reserved for exhibitors. “It’s filling up little by little but it’s still possible to reserve your place,” she continues.
1500 people in 2023
Of the entertainment for children are scheduled in the morning, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. A facilitator will offer them creative activities. At the same time, all day long, the Neuvy-le-Roi library will also be open.
Last year approximately 1500 people came to enjoy this great fair, “which always goes very well and in an excellent atmosphere”, welcomes Les Amis du Livre.
