This April 27, the Novotel on Place Wilson in Toulouse will open its doors at the Salon du Livre. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., more than 35 local authors will come together to share their creations with the public.
Every year, literature lovers gather in Toulouse to celebrate the art of reading and writing during the Book Fair organized by the Toulouse Book Academy association. The 5th edition will take place on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Novotel on Place Wilson. Exceptionally, this year the show will welcome a guest of honor: the writer and journalist Jean-Pierre Alaux.
Chaired by Jean-François Gourdou, this show is at the forefront of the cultural landscape of the Pink City. This is the only fair dedicated exclusively to local writers in Toulouse. All literary genres are celebrated there, from poetry to detective novels and short stories. “This year, we have 35 exhibitors coming to our show. It is both a great opportunity for us and our public who will discover new things, but for the 35 writers, it allows them a certain visibility that they could not have with other academies”, explains Jean-François Gourdou. Each author will have the opportunity to present their latest work and interact with the Toulouse public, eager for literary discoveries.
